American Idol judge Paula Abdul has denied she was drunk when she made the embarrassing blunder on the show on Tuesday. Paula thought Jason Castro sang twice on American Idol Top 5 Neil Diamond Show. The Idol Top 5 then was David Cook, Brooke White, David Archuleta, Syesha Mercado and of course Jason Castro

TMZ.com reported Paula was “bubbly” after a shot at a restaurant, hours before the show began. Paula admitted she’d seen Jason sing his second song at the dress rehearsal right before the live show and mistook it for the broadcast

This is just the latest of many tongue-tied misspeaks on camera for the former pop star and she is under heavy fire from fans and pundits. Ratings of the Idol show have shown a decrease, down 21 percent who watched on the same night last year
