David Slade will direct the next ‘Twilight’ movie

The third film in the Twilight saga, Eclipse, slated for June 2010 release, will be under the helm of David Slade.

Who is David Slade you might ask.

Well he is the director of previous films such as 30 Days of Night and Hard Candy.

Twilight author Stephenie Meyer handpicked Slade as he is able to “create complex, visually arresting worlds”.

Meyer also added, “From the beginning we’ve been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight saga, and I’m so happy that Eclipse will be carrying on with that tradition.”
