Michael Crichton who sold 150 million copies of books worldwide and many of his novels were turned into thrilling movies and TV shows such as Jurassic Park, The 13th Warrior and ER, has died at the age of 66 years old.

He died in Los Angeles after succumbing to cancer. Outpouring of praises and condolences has been sent to the family such as one from director Steven Spielberg saying that “Michael’s talent out-scaled even his own dinosaurs of Jurassic Park.”

The Harvard Medical School graduate turned author, film/tv producer and director was married five times and divorced four times. He left behind his only child, daughter Taylor Anne and two sisters, Kimberly and Catherine, and a younger brother, Douglas.
