We’re already having some of the summer biggest and best movies premiering like Hancock to Batman: Dark Knight this summer.

The latest of the Batman movie franchise even recently broke the box office opening numbers, when it became the fastest film in history to break the $200 million dollar barrier

Anyone and everyone I know loves Batman largely due the lead acting of Christian Bale, the late Heath Ledger and strong writing team which was pivotal in the success.

Well people being eager, they are already anticipating for next year summer movies which promises to be an exciting line-up such as action-packed genre such as Wolverine, Watchmen or Termination Salvation

To highlight the last one, Termination Salvation or a.k.a Terminator 4 proves to be an exciting prospect for me.

God no please don’t bring Arnie back, but instead Christian Bale will exchange his cape and mask for a good old gun and boots, who is set to reprise the protagonist role we all love, John Conner; future leader of mankind who will lead us against the machines

Another thing got me excited is that, it is now confirmed that the lead writer for Batman: Dark Knight, Jonathan Nolan will be working on Termination Salvation.

Albeit yet uncredited in the IMDB page, he alone would bring credibility to the screenplay. No more “I’ll be Back” lines I reckon, thank god!

And this time round, the movie will focus on the war of man versus machines rather than a flashback that has been the underlying theme of the past three Terminator movies.

The popularity and takings at the box-office for Terminator series has been on the decline, the last one Terminator 3 : Rise of the Machines (2003) totally ‘bombed’ and suck in my opinion

I can’t wait for Terminator Salvation in 2009, set to release in May. I share the peek preview trailers of the movie below

  1. movie nerd says:

this new Terminator should be good, if nothing else because Christian Bale is in it… i wonder, will Arnold make an appearance?

    • Uncle Cheekopek says:

      Hmm maybe

The governator might, just a cameo. A role would be an overkill

But i feel the porducers wants to move away from that ‘cheesy’ arnie type of movie, into a more darker realistic one
