Orianthi
Orianthi was hand-picked by Michael Jackson to be lead guitarist on his “This Is It” tour. Orianthi Panagaris (born January 22, 1985), commonly known as Orianthi, is an Australian guitarist.
Hear what the talented musician has to say about rehearsing with the King of Pop as she tells us about a side of Michael few got to see. She also explains how he has influenced her to move forward in creating her own music.
She played and sang at Jackson’s memorial, globally televised live on July 7, 2009.
She appears in the film Michael Jackson’s This Is It, which chronicles the rehearsals for the tour. Her song “According to You”, from the album Believe, was the Single of the Week on iTunes on October 27, 2009
