I’ve seen crazy things in my line of work but this takes the cake.
A surprising news for me but I feel Rick Astley does deserve a mention for his contribution to the pop scene with his shortlisted nominations for MTV Europe Music Awards to be held in Liverpool on 6 November
In his category for best act, he’s nominated alongside U2, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Green Day and Tokio Hotel.
Fans online will vote who will be the winner
Astley got into the nomination after fans were “tricked” into watching his big hit ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ which was a number one UK hit in 1987.
The craze called “Rickrolling” played his songs online such on YouTube under dubious misleading title
The craze led to number one hit in 15 countries. Amazing right!
Well coming from the 80′s era myself, I do hope the 50 year old singer wins it
