Australia is changing it’s rules by raising the eligibility age for teenage girls wanting a cosmetic surgery

Cosmetic surgeries like breast implant has been popularized down-under when Big Brother contestant Krystal Forscutt came on the show with breast implants

She herself wanted to have the surgery at 16 years old but had to wait until she was 19 years old, following her mother’s advice

More and more youth are turning to cosmetic surgeries and the Australian government is on the crackdown to prevent errant surgeons who “preys on the vulnerable”

The legislation change was raised and in the planning when Premier Morris Iemma two years ago

meEditor: I think it’s a shame that girls are turning to cosmetic surgeries to make them ‘feel good’. This is not your usual surgeries to correct a defect which can improve your quality of living, but surgeries which may have implications years from now for the girls. It’s good the Australia government is putting out the correct message out there, but basically nurturing one’s self-esteem starts from home at a young age, and parents should be entasked for such important role. Keep vigil of your child needs people
