WASHINGTON - A fire has broke out at the White House. Hilarious? Well it should it?

More than 1,000 White House staff members who worked in the building were sent home and only one person was injured, a Marine who was treated at the White House medical office for cuts on his hand.

The vice president was in the White House West Wing when the fire broke out about 9:15 a.m

The fire started in an electrical closet near Vice President Dick Cheney’s ceremonial office

The fire was restricted to the closet by the firefighters and the only thing that damaged was the mahogany, white maple and cherry floor in the vice president’s office which was under water

The fire however took on a political twist by the Democrats

“Too many documents to shred,”

“What records are being ‘cleaned up?’ ”

“What all is going up in smoke?”
